IBB is buying 160 new buses for the metrobus fleet

A signing ceremony was held for the purchase of 160 buses that Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) added to its metrobus fleet. The deliveries of the buses will be made starting from the first months of 2022.

A signing ceremony was held at Edirnekapı IETT Garage for 160 buses that IBB added to its metrobus fleet. IBB Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, Otokar General Manager Serdar Gorguc, Akia Ulaşım İç ve Dış Tic. A.Ş. General Manager Remzi Baka and guests attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ekrem Imamoglu stated that the metrobuses should be renewed and said, "Technically, buses that have exceeded 1 million kilometers on the metrobus line should not operate here and should be renewed."

Imamoğlu, Bilgili, Otokar General Manager Serdar Gorguc and Akia Ulaşim Ic ve Dis Tic. A.S. General Manager Remzi Baka, signed the contract for the purchase of the vehicles. Imamoglu and the accompanying delegation inspected the new metrobus vehicles.
